another blog i guess

at a certain point you have to wonder what the point of writing is. who am i writing for? the answer is of course me. i'm just writing for myself, because the thoughts are so loud i gotta.

micro blogging sucks ass and i'm tired of it. i'm tired of trying to condense my thoughts on a subject into 300 character chunks, removing sentences, words, punctuation to get it to fit. i have shit to say about hearing Vanessa Carlton play Ordinary Day without accompaniment or backing track and it transporting me into a version of my mother's house from nearly 25 years ago, the hue of the orange paint so bright in my mind's eye that i was unable to see vanessa on stage anymore.

that shit is not possible on bsky or twitter or mastodon. we were not meant for tiny snippets of thoughts, 2 sentences and then done? fuck outta here

however, my blog as i have it set up is not easy to use, so i avoid using it. i'd prefer this to be on noahbogart.com, but i really don't wanna create a new markdown file with the right title, add frontmatter, and the after closing commit it. that's so annoying.

i need a cohost-like system, and i think ill try this out. if it's good, i'll see about mirroring my posts from here to noahbogart.com, cuz i do like writing longform. writing is good, structuring text is good, making grand points is good, fucking 5 paragraph essays are good! words
